We help to promote the importance of literacy.

Program Description:

Tackling Illiteracy: We target schools with economically disadvantaged kids and communities where we can make the biggest impact. We are proud to say these areas have learned about 2nd & 7 and have made our program a part of their community outreach. Thank you to all of our volunteers who are implementing this outreach in their areas! Our national role model reading program pairs high school and college student-athletes with 2nd graders to read with them, inspire them and provide each of those children with a new book to take home.

Columbus Kids’ Book Bank: We accept NEW & GENTLY USED K-6 books to be distributed to local families, classrooms and organizations that serve children in central Ohio. We need the help of individuals, teams, and businesses in our community to support us through the collection, sorting and distribution of books.
